Dr Rachel Johnson
B.Sc. (Hons.), D.Clin.Psych
Rachel has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology (University of Warwick) and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Universities of Coventry & Warwick). She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, a member of the British Psychological Society and Division of Clinical Psychology and a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Professions Council.
She has extensive experience in cognitive and psychological assessment of both adults and children, and a specialist interest in specific learning difficulties and dyslexia, having worked for a number of years as Assessment Psychologist within a residential school for children with dyslexia, and its allied independent assessment centre. She is a member of the British Dyslexia Association.
In addition to the above, as a Clinical Psychologist, Rachel works therapeutically with children and families, including behavioural, emotional and development difficulties, as well as systemic and parenting concerns. She specialises in working with children of primary school age and younger, providing psychological assessment, intervention and advice to the child, young person of families, as well as to other professionals and agencies working with the family. She has received additional training in The Incredible Years program for Toddlers and the Early Years.
